The 2007 set cleared quarantine at SARDI and was sent to the Germplasm Evaluation Project in July 2007 for increase, and a subset was supplied to Harbans Bariana at Sydney University, Cobbitty, for rust evaluation.
*A further 500 selections from the linked file made by the Australian breeder group who visited CIMMYT Obregon in March 2007 are to be imported, in addition to the January 2008 nurseries.

The 2006 set cleared quarantine in July 2006 and was sent to the Germplasm Evaluation Project in August 2006 for increase (see sidebar menu for further detail). Increased seed are now in partially-replicated trials with Agrisearch. 25 seeds of each were sent to AWCC, of which 10 seed were kept and 15 seed sent to PBIC for rust testing. Samples have also been distributed under GRDC-CIMMYT MTA to interested breeders. List of lines 2004-2006 sown for trial at Gatton in 2007.

List of derived synthetics sown for trial at Gatton in 2007. Of particular interest is the F5 material that has been generated through SSD at Horsham. Lines marked X in the column entitled "Bulk" will not be harvested due to expression of stripe, stem or leaf rust.
The additional 1,035 lines selected by the March 2006 group of Australian wheat breeders who visited CIMMYT Obregon were checked by AWCC for redundancies and were quarantined at SARDI, (663 lines, yielding about 20g), and Eagle Farm (273 lines). Lines that had matured were distributed 14 August 2007 to Meiqin Lu (AGT-Narrabri), Russell Eastwood (AGT-Horsham), Francis Ogbonnaya (DPI Vic-Horsham) and Robin Wilson (DAFWA). John Sheppard (QDPI&F), Lindsay O'Brien (LongReach) and Richard Trethowan (University of Sydney) will obtain their seed from Meiqin. The slower growing lines were to be supplied later in August 2007. (See sidebar menu for further detail.)

Lines from the 2005 set were increased in the Germplasm Evaluation Project during 2006 and are now in partially-replicated trials with Agrisearch. 25 seeds of each were sent to AWCC, of which 10 seed were kept and 15 seed sent to PBIC for rust testing. Samples have also been distributed under GRDC-CIMMYT MTA to interested breeders.
Stripe rust data on 2005 and 2006 lines delivered December 2007 from Horsham.
CIMMYT lines 2004 (two sets)
AWCC received two sets of nurseries in 2004 - ZW*04 (2004#1, the normal shipment) and ZW*45 (2004#2, a catch up phase, introduced to enable the nurseries to be supplied 12 months earlier than previously). The late planting of the ZW*45 nurseries was due to lack of funding at the time.
CIMMYT lines 2004#1
The 455 line 2004 #1 set cleared quarantine in March 2005, and was sent to Douglas Lush (QDPI) for 2005 winter seed increase. The 50 most promising lines were increased in seed chambers at the University of Queensland, and 35 of these passed quarantine and were sent to Gatton and/or Roseworthy for testing. In plot mean yields for lines tested at Gatton, the best lines exceed yield of Seri by around 50%.
The entire set were sown at QDPI, AgWA and GBA and were made available from May 2006 for individual breeders to evaluate. Of 469 lines planted for increase at Gatton, 426 were harvested. Lines not harvested were omitted because of agronomic factors, segregation or severe rust reactions.

- Distribution of seed increased in Qld Lines were distributed to breeders for trialling between April and July 2006. After distribution, remaining seed was sent to Richard Trethowan at the University of Sydney Plant Breeding Institute, Cobbitty. For entries that had no grain left, 3 g of seed was packaged from the seed Douglas Lush had put aside for increase next year, to ensure PBIC had seed of all lines harvested.
- Bertus Jacobs and Andrew Milgate reported that their trials failed due to drought.
- Results from others' trials to be reported in March 2007.
Other, smaller CIMMYT nurseries also introduced in March 2004 are listed below : ZWF04, ZWW04 and ZWB04 were put through quarantine and distributed directly to 13 breeders (details available on

- Distribution of 2004#2 seed increased in Victoria.
- Bertus Jacobs and Andrew Milgate reported that their trials failed due to drought.
- Results from others' trials to be reported in March 2007.
- Distribution of seed increased in WA: 60g of WA-increased 2004#2 distributed to Robyn McLean, on behalf of WA breeders.
